Police arrested three people, including two Thai women (26 and 34 years old) in Wellawatte. They used to advertise their service on the Internet. Police officers communicated via internet like customers. Once they agree, they use car to pick up customers. The manager, who leads the business, is from Nugegoda.

A massage center was raid by Police in Kollupitiya. There are 23 Thailand women have been arrested. Police stated that massage center functioned as a Ayurvedic massage center while promoting activities that against the Sri Lankan law. The center had been operated by two Sri Lankan ladies. The suspects ages were between 20 and 40 years old.

September 2019
Police raid a massage parlor in Galle Road, Mt. Lavinia, and they arrested 3 people, including two women. The manager of the center and the two women who were arrested. The arrested persons are aged from 31 to 42. They are from Moneragala, Kalawana and Lellopitiya areas.

Massage centers that were operating in Kadawatha and Makola areas have been surrounded by police. Nine people, including six women, have been arrested. Among them, two of them were managers. Arrested people age between 24 to 49 years and they were from Colombo, Kadawatha, Habaraduwa, Ja-Ela, Embilipitiya, Parakaduwa, Tissa Varawewa and Meegalewa areas.

Six persons, including four women, have been arrested in Negombo. The police media unit said that the suspects were arrested in Ethukala, Negombo. Two women from Uzbekistan. Other two women and two men from Paragastota, Kurunegala, Peliyagoda and Colombo. The arrested persons were between the ages of 17 to 42.

August 2019
A massage center has been surrounded by police in Kochchikade, Negombo. Seven women, including managers were arrested. The women arrested were between the ages of 20 and 45 years. They were from Sevanagala, Palaviya, Thamaranwela, Padukka, Pamunukota and Tambowa.

An Ayurvedic massage center in Mount Lavinia has been raided by Police. Three females and massage center's manager were arrested. They are 36, 37, 31 and 22 years old.

Manager and 2 women were arrested at an Ayurvedic massage center in Kurana, Negombo. The manager was a 50 years old man from Seeduwa, and women are 26 and 38 years old from Kurunagala and Medawachchiya.

Eight foreign nationals arrested in Kollupitiya due to their activities that against Sri Lankan law that related to massage and spa. All of them are women. However, their passports refer them as male. Seven women are from Philippines and one woman from Russia.

July 2019
Three women have been arrested during a raid carried out by the police in Colombo. The center in Kotte Road, Rajagiriya has been raid by police. Police said that three women have been arrested from the massage center. There were 31, 32 and 42 years old women from Biyagama and Kandana.
